This week in the life of Alicia

Normally, I live a very drama-free, dull, boring life. I rub people, rub some more people, come home, do some laundry, cook dinner, take care of the dogs and go to bed. Some days get really exciting with grocery shopping, paying bills, lunch or dinner with friends and family. This week was different. Tuesday night, I had a wonderful night out with two of my sorority sisters and my hubby at Tubby's in Thunderbolt. It was yummy in my tummy and a good time catching up!

This week, I received my ice pack in the mail from the wonderful people at the Artmore Hotel in Atlanta, GA. I had taken it with me when I was working the conference a few weeks ago. Having a total blonde moment, I left it in the freezer. :( After a few calls back and forth to work out the details, they were kind enough to pack it up and mail it back to me. Thank you, thank you from Alicia's back!

Steven got a HUGE shipment of fish in (with one mortality so far). It's calming and relaxing to watch these beautiful colorful fish weave in and out of the coral and rock. He works so hard to research and find out what works the best. Salt water fish are expensive and such high maintanence! I'm glad he takes care of it all!

My "boss" at the spa left on vacation today leaving ME in charge. Crazy ain't it?!? I feel so powerful and mighty now. Bow before me lowly servants! So far everything has gone smoothly...lets keep our fingers crossed that it stays that way until Wednesday!

Lots of fun and excitement in my week...and it's not over with yet!

I heart Less Conference 2011!

This is my third year doing chair massage at Less Conference and it is always a blast!
I can't help but be SO proud of my creative, hilarious brother Allan Branch and his genius, crazy business partner Steve Bristol who put together such a great conference full of inspiration business speakers and fun activities (like a "snack time" of milk and cookies and a musical visit from an ice cream truck!). I can't tell you much about the speakers because I am always busy working on a few people who take a quick break or I'm helping set up/clean up, but everyone always raves about them. :-) The guys (and a few token girls) who come to this conference are great and it's so cool to help relax their neck and back muscles overworked from too much computer time. For this humble massage therapist, what they talk about sounds like Greek to me, but I try to keep up with them as much as possible. If you are on Twitter, check out #lessconf and read all about it or see some rockin' pictures on Facebook under LessConf.
